24-Hour Hotline
For information regarding domestic violence resources including counseling services, interpretation, medical assistance, legal aid, law enforcement, and shelters, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The Hotline, available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year in a total of 170 languages including Urdu, is available to all victims of domestic violence or anyone calling on their behalf. Domestic Violence Service Organizations
There are many organizations that have helplines that are answered during office hours, provide shelter and a wide range of services for abused women and their children. Because their phone numbers and addresses can change, and new programs get added, we have listed two websites where you can get an up-to-date directory.
